Christian Rummel is the new CFO at FlixMobility as of April 1, 2021

Munich/Berlin, March 17, 2021 – Christian Rummel will take over the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at FlixMobility with the brands FlixBus and FlixTrain as of April 1, 2021. In this position, he will be responsible for all financial matters of FlixMobility Holding and its international local entities. With his many years of experience in senior positions at Siemens in the capital market as well as in international environments such as the U.S. and emerging markets like India, the financial expert will make a significant contribution to making green, smart and affordable mobility available to even more people worldwide. He succeeds Arnd Schwierholz, who is leaving FlixMobility after four years to move back home and be with his family.

 

Christian Rummel brings more than 25 years of finance and capital markets experience from the mobility industry as well as the energy and healthcare sectors. Most recently, he was Managing Partner for Siemens Portfolio Companies, prior to which he served as CFO and Executive Director for Siemens Ltd. India, based in Mumbai. During his career, he held various leadership and financial management positions for Siemens in India, the U.S. and at various German locations. His entrepreneurial thinking as well as his experience with innovative business models and products will strengthen FlixMobility in its further development.
