+++ Flix’s extensive bus network connects fans with cities across Europe, including many smaller destinations beyond the major football hubs

Munich, September 16th – Football is about more than 90 minutes on the pitch. It is about the people you meet, the cities you discover and the shared experiences that begin long before kick-off. As the official partner of the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League, Flix is helping fans across Europe get closer to the action, connecting them with the cities where the competitions come alive.

From Lisbon to Istanbul, fans travel across borders to follow their teams, meet friends and experience European football together. With its extensive network, Flix, through its FlixBus and Kâmil Koç brands, provides an affordable and collective way to reach many of the cities[1] hosting UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League matches (see UEL and UECL Fixtures).

Every match starts with a journey

For supporters travelling to an away game, the journey itself is part of the experience: sharing the excitement with friends, meeting fellow fans and crossing borders together before arriving in a new city. Flix brings that experience to the road, connecting football communities across Europe while making collective travel a more sustainable and accessible alternative to travelling alone by car or plane.

“Football has a unique power to bring people together across cities, countries and cultures. That is exactly what makes our partnership with UEL and UECL so meaningful for Flix,” said André Schwämmlein, CEO and co-founder of Flix. “We connect people every day, and football gives people another reason to come together. Whether fans are travelling to support their team or simply want to experience the atmosphere of a European football city, we want to make the journey part of the experience”.

Connecting fans with the cities behind the matches

The UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League bring football to cities of all sizes across Europe. From major capitals to smaller destinations, every match creates an opportunity for fans to discover somewhere new.

In the first two seasons of the partnership, Flix already connected more than 130 cities participating in the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League, including destinations that can be more difficult to reach by long-distance transport.

This means that a match in London, San Sebastian or Sofia can become more than a few hours inside a stadium. Fans can arrive early, explore the city, meet friends and fellow supporters, enjoy the local culture and turn a match into a complete European travel experience.

More information about the partnership can be found here.
