Munich, 6th November 2025 – Flix, the global travel tech company reshaping long-distance bus and rail travel, has officially launched in Australia with the opening of ticket sales, marking a significant milestone in its international growth journey. With this move, Flix enters its 45th country, confirming its presence on five continents and reinforcing its commitment to delivering smart, affordable, and sustainable travel options worldwide.

Operations in Australia will begin on 20th November 2025, with the initial network connecting key cities in southeast Australia, including Melbourne, Canberra, and Sydney, one of the country’s busiest travel corridors. The route will also include strategic stops at both international and domestic airports, ensuring seamless access for both local and international travelers.

“We are proud to officially mark our entry into Australia, our 45th market, a significant milestone in our mission to shape the future of long-distance bus travel,” said André Schwämmlein, CEO and Founder of Flix. “This launch reflects how our scalable tech platform and partnership model enable sustainable growth across continents and reinforces our commitment to a long-term, sustainable presence in every market we enter.”

The Australian network demonstrates Flix’s long-term market entry strategy, focused on building scalable networks that grow over time and connect more communities. It also highlights the company’s ability to integrate efficiently into new travel ecosystems through its tech-enabled platform, which powers everything from network planning and dynamic pricing to a seamless digital customer experience.

Flix now connects passengers to more than 8.000+ destinations across 45 countries and 5 continents, supported by a network of local bus and train partners and proprietary technology that powers planning, pricing, and the end-to-end digital customer experience.

As announced earlier this year the company is also looking to start operations in Peru by the end of 2025. Peru will be the fourth Latin American country after Brazil, Chile and Mexico.
