Mexico City/Munich, May 23 2025-  Flix, a global travel tech leader, providing sustainable and affordable travel options, now starts its services in Mexico. The world’s third largest bus market presents a great opportunity for Flix to revolutionize the market by introducing its innovative, asset-light model. First buses are set to depart on May 27th and tickets are now available.

“We are excited to expand our Latin American footprint. After successful launches in Brazil and Chile, Mexico will be the third Latin American country with green buses. In partnership with local businesses, we will change the way people travel by offering a more digitized and affordable experience.”, says André Schwämmlein, Flix founder and CEO.

Flix’s scalable business model has already delivered success across 44 countries on four continents, driving value creation with technology, both for bus partners and travelers.

Connecting six Mexican cities across five states

Starting May 27, the network will span five Mexican states, connecting key cities including Mexico City, Monterrey, Torreón, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí and Matehuala. While these new stops will be directly connected with each other, Monterrey is currently served by Greyhound and is already part of the Flix North America network. With a transit in Monterrey, Mexicans can now travel across more than 1600 destinations in the United States and Canada. Flix is launching its first green buses in Mexico in partnership with three local bus partners. Following rapid expansions across Europe, North America, India, Brazil, and Chile, Mexico marks another milestone in Flix’s mission to make sustainable, and affordable travel accessible across the globe.
